Sydney Olympic Park will be changing the intersection of Figtree Drive and Australia Avenue to improve access for Figtree Drive residents and businesses, by removing the temporary traffic equipment and changing nearby street parking.
This will mean that drivers travelling on Australia Ave will be able to turn both left and right into Figtree and drivers travelling on Figtree Drive will be able to turn both left and right into Australia Ave. Street parking close to the intersection will also be changed from no parking to 2-hour parking (2P).
The temporary traffic equipment was originally installed in 2021 for improved safety and due to the high volume of pedestrians in the area accessing the COVID vaccination clinic. Street parking was also temporarily changed to ‘No Parking’ to allow for the high volume of customers dropping off passengers adjacent to the clinic.
The changes are expected to be completed by 2 February 2023.
