Bicentennial Park West Playspace
A fun play area with accessible swings and merry-go round, large playable xylophone plus an off-leash dog park.
Accessibility
The play space includes a layout that allows children to navigate between play pods, several types of swings including those that offer extra spinal support, and a central merry-go-round that is recessed to allow flush access for wheelchair users.
Dog friendly
Right next to the playground is an off-leash dog park to enjoy with man’s best friend. The area consists of two enclosures to suit size and activity level of different dogs, so every dog and every person feels welcome.
Bubblers and waste disposal bins are also onsite.
Thermal comfort
A 100m long perimeter seating wall is shaded by large scale Fig and Ornamental Pear trees to help cool the area and provide shade. All surfaces have used lighter colours and there is also group seating located under large scale shade umbrellas.
During a Total Fire Ban, use of private BBQ equipment is not permitted - use Park installed BBQs only.
