Blaxland Riverside Park is home to our famous play space spanning three hectares, providing kids of all ages and abilities a huge range of activities and challenges.  

Located next to the Parramatta River, Blaxland Riverside Park is a children’s paradise with:

  • A double flying fox;
  • Mega-swing;
  • Tunnel slides;
  • Scramble wall;
  • Spinning play disc;
  • Viking swing;
  • Multi-level tree house; and
  • The largest outdoor water play area. (Operates 10 am - 5 pm during daylight savings, 10 am - 4 pm all other times)


Blaxland Riverside Park offers BBQ facilities throughout the park available for use free of charge.

Explore the riverside walking trail, keep the kids entertained at the biggest playground in Sydney or hire a bike from the historic Gate House in the Armory.

Please note: 

  • Armory Wharf Café is closed until further notice.
  • All spaces at Blaxland Riverside Park are shared and cannot be hired. No suppliers permitted access. Please be respectful towards other park users and park rangers.
  • During a Total Fire Ban, use of private BBQ equipment is not permitted - use Park installed BBQs only.
     

Pop-up shelters

A small pop-up shelter up to 3mx3m is permitted. Marquees or shelters greater than 3m x 3m are not permitted.

In windy or unsafe conditions, park rangers may ask patrons to take down their shelters.

If you are using a small shelter please ensure the following:

  • Please secure your shelter with weights.
  • Do not put pegs or stakes into the ground.
  • Space shelters at least 6m apart.
  • Do not attach shelters to park structures. 

Changed parking conditions in the parklands

Sydney Olympic Park is changing the parking conditions for parkland areas to improve the experience for visitors and to support the ongoing management of the parklands. 

On Saturday 1 February 2025, there will be new parking conditions in Bicentennial Park, Blaxland Riverside Park and Parklands Junction P5b (URBNSURF) and P5c (Pump Track and BMX Track).

The first two hours of parking will be free. After the initial 2-hour free period, a parking fee will apply:

  • $3 per hour fee on weekdays, and
  • $5 per hour fee on weekends.
